Wonder Week Read-a-Thon: March 18th – 25th

It’s back!

Wonder Week is back and better than ever (hopefully!). The last Wonder Week was sort of a fail, and I really hate how everything went down during that read-a-thon, so this time we’re going to make it amazing.

If you don’t know what Wonder Week is, it’s a read-a-thon I came up with last year! There is a post about it here explaining all the details and important bits that you need to know.

This read-a-thon runs off of a BINGO card as you can see from the intro post.

Here is this times BINGO card!

Basic Rules:

  • Read books to create a line on the board
  • You can create more than one line

This is a very easy read-a-thon that allows for a lot of variety in your reading, you don’t have SET books you HAVE to read, you can pick according to the prompt in the BINGO board.

Additionally, if you want to join in but not read every book in the line, you can also just join in and follow any prompt you like!

The goal is to read at least 5 books in the week that this read-a-thin takes place! Not too bad!

Like last time, I’m looking for bloggers to participate in the read-a-thon and host games on their blog! I will be running reading sprints on the Wonder Week Read-a-Thon Twitter!

If you would like to host on your blog, please email me at rimpyreads@gmail.com with your blog link, your game idea, and the day that you’d like to host.

Alright guys, that’s about all I have for you at the moment! I will be posting updates on the Wonder Week Twitter as well as my personal Twitter!

I can’t wait for this read-a-thon, I think it’s going to be loads of fun and I hope a lot of you guys can join in!

Thank you so much for reading.

Until next time,

Rimpy Toor

February Wrap Up

Hello everyone!

Another month gone so quickly – I can’t believe how fast the year is going.

Small update for school: I only have about 2 weeks of sit in classes left and will be heading to one of my final practicums by the end of March – which I’m so excited about. Soon I’ll be done my program and be working as a nurse! I cannot wait.

Anyways, this post is going to be my February Wrap Up!

This month has been a pretty great reading month – I was able to read 8 books this month, which is amazing for me. Especially with how busy I’ve been this month!

I’m just going to jump right into the wrap up now!

Words of Radiance by Brandon Sanderson

Hello everyone,

It has been a couple of days (?) since my last blog post and I sincerely apologize for that! I have had a lot going on + a lot of reading I wanted to get done these past couple of days, and just didn’t have a chance to sit down and write a blog post for you all!

This novel was one that was super intimidating for me to pick up, especially after I read The Way of Kings, also due to the fact that my boyfriend loves this book and thinks it’s the best book in existence.

I didn’t want to be disappointed or rush this one.

Alright, let’s just get into the review and see how I felt about this book!

Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo

Hello everyone!

I am back again with another book review, and I’m confused about this one. I had an amazing time reading Shadow and Bone (you can read my review here) and it had me very excited to read the next novel in this series, unfortunately I was a bit underwhelmed with this one. I’ll get more into detail down below.

Let’s get into it!

Romantic Comedies I’m Trash For

Hello again everyone!

Today I’m bringing to you all a Valentine’s themed post – because who doesn’t love love!

I know a lot of people may not be dating during Valentine’s Day, and that is totally fine. You don’t need a significant other to celebrate the holiday of love. Love is for everyone, share it with your friends, family, and even strangers!

I am an avid Rom-Com watcher. I am total trash for all movies that are sappy and filled with cheesy dialogue.

Therefore, I bring to you all a list of Romantic Comedies I’m Trash For!

Godsgrave by Jay Kristoff

I am writing this review 10 minutes after finishing this novel, and I am still in shock/bewildered about the ending of this novel, so let’s hope I don’t ramble too much.

Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog for yet another review.

This novel is one I have been meaning to read for an embarrassingly long amount of time, so I’m very glad that I decided to take the plunge and pick up this novel.

I have many many thoughts, so I’m just going to get started now, before they start to fall out of my brain.

The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson

Hello everyone!

This post is one that I am excited but slightly nervous to write. I’m excited because I enjoyed reading this novel so very much, but nervous because it was such a large, complicated, and detailed novel, and I really don’t know where to start.

Therefore, I’d like for you all to give me a bit of a break when it comes to reviewing this novel, and just enjoy the ride!

Let’s get started!

Movies You Didn’t Know Were Books

Hello everyone!

Today on my blog I wanted to talk about some movies that everyone knows (or should know) about, and how they are based off of books.

Typically, if a movie is based off of a book it’s something that is widely known and displayed on a lot of platforms.

You don’t usually see movies not mention their affiliation to a novel.

I hope you enjoy this blog post and learn about some very odd book to movie adaptations that are not known by a large part of the public.
