Movies You Didn’t Know Were Books

Hello everyone!

Today on my blog I wanted to talk about some movies that everyone knows (or should know) about, and how they are based off of books.

Typically, if a movie is based off of a book it’s something that is widely known and displayed on a lot of platforms.

You don’t usually see movies not mention their affiliation to a novel.

I hope you enjoy this blog post and learn about some very odd book to movie adaptations that are not known by a large part of the public.

My Thoughts

I have been wanting to watch this movie for quite a while now, and I’m very glad I finally got to it.

The reason I was so drawn to this movie was mainly due to the fact that it had Chris Evans and he is a very handsome man, but this movie is so much more than that pretty face.

This movie is incredibly emotional if you like kids even a little bit, honestly even if you hate kids this movie will tear you apart.

This movie follows a man who is taking care of his dead sister’s child. Mary (the kid) is a literal genius but Frank (Chris Evans) wants her to live a normal life because he believes that his sister’s (who was also a genius) life was filled with too much work and too little play, and he doesn’t want that for Mary. In enters Frank’s mother who thinks that Mary should be learning and being tutored 24/7 so she can live up to her potential – madness ensues.

I really loved watching Mary solve equations and do all the smart things that genius’ do, I thought it was very interesting to watch. I also felt all the emotions when we saw how this whole situation was effecting Frank and Mary.

All in all this movie was very very heartbreaking. You feel all the emotions when you watch this movie, and you see a lot happen that you don’t expect.

I thought that all of the actors in this movie were amazing, and played their parts wonderfully. Mary, played by McKenna Grace, was also incredible to watch.

I definitely think you should watch this movie if you enjoy Dramatic movies that will make you emotional.

That concludes my review for Gifted. I hope you enjoyed!

Thanks so much for reading, don’t forget to follow my blog as well as my other social media sites linked in the side bar.

Movie Madness: Annabelle Creation

Hi guys!

Today I am bringing to you a review of Annabelle Creation. I was excited to see this movie because I was a big fan of the Conjuring 1. Little did I know how terrifying this movie would end up being.

I didn’t expect the amount of jump scares and scary bits this movie would have.

Here’s a hint.

There were a lot.

Hindi Movie Recommendations

Hey guys, so this is a slightly different post for my blog – but I really wanted to do this because of my weird need to re-watch a lot of older Hindi movies I used to watch as a kid!

When I was younger I would watch more of these movies than anything else (I think this is why I haven’t seen a lot of classics), and I learned Hindi whilst I did so (I am Sikh – I speak Punjabi).

Lots of these movies make you cringe, but it is so worth it. If you ever feel like watching something different, definitely check these out!

PSA: All of these movies WILL make you cringe and they’re incredibly long. Don’t say I didn’t warn you!

Scrappy Little Nobody by Anna Kendrick

Hello!

This morning I finally finished Scrappy Little Nobody by Anna Kendrick! I listened to the audiobook for this novel and was very pleased with how it turned out!

Anna Kendrick is one of my favourite actresses/people. I know a lot of people aren’t in love with her, and that’s ok, but I for one love her a lot.

Therefor, this book was something I’d been looking forward to reading since it came out. I decided that my experience would be far more enjoyable if I were to listen to it instead because she was the narrator and I think she’s hilarious.

Suits

This is a post that is very out of the ordinary for me. I’ve never really posted about television or movies on my blog before – but I felt as though this was the perfect place to start.

After all, books tell a story, but so does film/television.

I’m here to talk about (rave about) a television show called Suits. This show has been in my life for quite a while now. I’m pretty sure I started watching it when it first came out (don’t quote me on that) and ever since I’ve been a huge fan.

Of course that doesn’t mean I haven’t stopped watching it for a while and have had to binge watch the episode (oh poor me) to catch up. I have, and I’m not ashamed to admit it – but this show will always bring my back.
